Exploring Design and Creativity: A Day at Buzz Stop Design Studio
On November 9, 2023, I, along with my fellow students from the B.A. course, had the exciting opportunity to visit Buzz Stop Design Studio in Panampilly Nagar. The interior design of the studio caught my eye, featuring an appealing blend of yellow, black, and white themes, complemented by the presence of indoor plants. Our main purpose was to meet with Dominic, a respected figure at the studio, who engaged us in discussions about various aspects of being a designer. Dominic shared intriguing stories and innovative solutions to design-related queries, going beyond the technicalities to delve into the realm of human psychology. Learning from someone with such diverse insights was truly an incredible and enriching experience.
During our visit, we had the chance to observe the studio in action, with everyone diligently working according to their instructions. Buzz Stop Design Studio is currently involved in a project for 'Fresh to Homes,' a home delivery app specializing in meat. The studio was tasked with creating daily posters for the app, considering the daily discounts offered by the client. The frequent collaboration with this client, whose website boasted a white and green theme, showcased the studio's adaptability. Witnessing a few of Buzz Stop's creations further emphasized their creative prowess. By the time the session ended at 1:30 p.m., I had a deeper understanding of the vibrant and complex field of design.
